Wave 5 will also see the return of Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek as playable characters, who will take their place racing alongside other classic characters - including Birdo - who were introduced over the preceding four waves. The final four courses making up the new Cherry Cup are Los Angeles Laps (Mario Kart Tour), Sunset Wilds (Mario Kart Super Circuit), Koopa Cape (Mario Kart Wii), and Vancouver Velocity (Mario Kart Tour). Returning courses Athens Dash (Mario Kart Tour), Daisy Cruiser (Mario Kart Double Dash), and Moonview Highway (Mario Kart Wii) are included in Wave 5’s Feather Cup championship, as is the entirely new bathroom inspired-track Squeaky Clean Sprint. The content is also available free of extra charge to players who have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. The new content will be available to players who have purchased the $24.99 Booster Course Pass, granting access to a massively expanded set of courses and characters released in waves 1 through 5, which have been releasing periodically throughout 2023, starting in March.
